I’ve had the most callbacks on these “real-time” postings when I tailor the first two lines of my resume to mirror the exact permit acronyms in the JD — like NPDES/CEMS for utilities — so the screener spots it instantly. Remote is growing, but confirm whether “remote” still includes quarterly plant visits or a specific state PE so you’re not surprised later.

For these “real-time” remote roles, I started putting my NCEES Record link (Records Program | NCEES) and multi-state PE eligibility right in the resume header, and callbacks jumped because it’s clear I can stamp where needed. Small caveat: if you’re pre-PE, note FE passed + target PE date and your time zone so screeners can greenlight you fast when you apply within 24 hours.
